Documentary. The street sign 'Middlesex Street'. Exterior shot of no. 111, I. Skolnick Ltd, Hosier. The empty market in the early morning; barrows being wheeled in, people bringing their goods in taxis, others carrying parcels. Stalls been set up - signs for Isaac's Eels, Joe's for Jeans (Ruislip, Middx), The Hat King, Slim Jims, The Laughter stall. A chestnut roasting stand, a man selling 'wonder water', a man with a parrot, an African man in traditional dress with feathered headdress, men with cameras, beggars, buskers, a man demonstrating card tricks. Shots of the many stalls, the stall holders and the crowds around them. Dismantling the stalls, packing up goods and loading them into vans at the end of the day; the extensive litter, some people foraging among the bins and litter, sweeping up. The final shot is of the Middlesex Street sign which began the film.
