Making models with matchsticks.
Adam Thompson makes models out of matchsticks. With help from his wife, Grace, Adam Thompson glues matchsticks together to construct models, which he then decorates. The film showcases models made by Adam and Grace Thompson. The film includes shots of Adam and Grace Thompson working together on a model ship. There are also shots of Adam Thompson scraping matchsticks and cutting them to size; gluing matchsticks together to form a straight line and shaping them with pliers. There are shots of models at different stages of completion including a horse drawn caravan; a well complete with a handle that turns; a windmill with sails that rotate; cottages; another horse drawn carriage; examples of wheels for the models; a steam train; a stand for a notebook; a tug boat and a model of St John’s Church in Egham.
