The manufacture of wooden toy horses from a cottage in Sussex.
Documentary. Ruth and Toby Corbin make wooden toy horses from an old world cottage in Sussex. The horses are handmade and there is no assembly line. The Corbins make approximately eleven horses a day and all are exported. Sequences include: the components for the wooden horse being cut to shape; the base and horse being assembled and painted; Ruth Corbin adding eyes and decorative details to the model horse while Toby Corbin paints its wheels; examples of the finished product.
