Michelangelo

1976

Animated cartoon incorporating works by Michelangelo, set to the opening passage of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.

Incorporating images from Michelangelo’s art, notably from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, the cartoon provides a sampler of the artist’s work, in doing so suggesting a creative energy that lay behind the man and his work.
