The felling and uses of timber.
Documentary. Trees being felled by hand-held tools and the trunks being chained on wagons and pulled away by horses. A mechanical saw mill and planks of wood being loaded onto ships at the docks. The uses of wood: for dartboards, joinery, house building, paper manufacture; violin making, aircraft manufacture (shots of women workers in the hangars), sailing boats.
