A tribute to Kent's agricultural countryside and to the farmers and labourers who work the land throughout the year.
Agricultural and horticultural work - much by hand - for the production of the county's crops. Sowing, horse-drawn ploughing and rolling, as well as the apple harvest. Adults and children - including a toddler - pick hops and remove them to an oast house in a horse-drawn cart. The wheat harvest follows, with horse-drawn machinery and child-managed horse-threshing.
