Amateur film showing the Hodkinson family holiday in Cornwall, a visit to the SS Great Britain, Keith’s daughter Jane’s birthday, an office Christmas party, visit to Bamburgh Castle and Hadrian’s Wall, and horse riding.

The film begins with shots of wooden holiday lodges, first we see their exteriors then the interior where Keith and his family are staying. Views from the balcony show wooded surroundings. The next section shows scenes from a seaside village, first of the village and quay from a hillside opposite then looking out to sea, quay and the very narrow village streets. Views from a horse drawn carriage then of Keith’s wife and daughters walking along the shore, sunbathing and paddling. There are shots of people riding on a miniature steam train then from sitting on the train. A model train set is shown next. Next, the family visit Bristol Harbour, and the following shots show the SS Great Britain, a former passenger steamship, now located at Bristol Harbour. The family are on board the museum ship. A sign reads Sherston, which is in Wiltshire. There are views of the village, including the church and village green. The next section shows Keith’s daughter Jane on her birthday; a cake reads Happy Birthday Jane, there are shots of a row of birthday cards, a family portrait, Jane's digital watch, Jane cuts the shop tag from a new top, Jane uses a calculator. Next, showing flowers in a garden. A sign reads Orwell, views of the church and village, and of a house in disrepair and being refurbished. An office Christmas party where gifts are presented to the staff by a man dressed as the pope. The family leave their house for family outings. Trips include to Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland, Hadrian’s Wall and a fish farm. The final part of the film shows people horse riding and show jumping in a grassy field.
