An Anglia Television mute and sound news story on the major flooding in East Suffolk.

Vans plough through deep water in the high street. The water, up to the wheel arch, is stemmed from entering a lady's business by packed boxes. A family drives down a road that looks more like a river as a woman braves walking outside in the rain. The countryside is flooded for miles around, causing channels of fast moving water, on which a car tries to drive against the flow. Despite its depth, the water doesn't seem to be stopping the ordinary business of the town. Police help to push cars through water and groups of citizens pass buckets of mud and water from one to the other, clearing up the mess. A woman tells an Anglia Television interviewer how the water entered her home from the outside drains, and that they were bailing out for three hours. The family were aided in their plight by the vicar, people from Middleton and Mr. Martin, the owner of a pump. The lino was damaged by the foot of water.
