Runners compete in a race round the boundary of Letchworth.

This short film to accompany an Anglia Television news story opens with a poster for the beating of the bounds, with the walk starting at 9 am and the race at 2.30 pm. The film concentrates on the race, showing the runners crossing a harvested field, then running along a road signposted to Baldock, then in an overgrown field below the railway. Runners climb over a fence and approach the finish where two adjudicants are waiting. The winner and the close runner-up shake hands.
