A journey along the Buntingford Branch Line in Hertfordshire.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Buntingford line, this film presents an exhilarating journey along one of Britain's 'lost' railway lines, which closed in 1964. Beginning with black and white footage of the interior of a working signal box, a burst of colour announces a jaunt past the tiny stations of the leafy Buntingford line. The journey from Mardock for Wareside, through Widford, Standon, Braughling and Westmill stations is followed by a brief shot of the inside of the carriage before its arrival at Buntingford, the end of the line. Returning south along the line, many of the same stations are seen, as well as Hadham, which was the only station not shown on the outward journey. The film concludes with a disembarking at St Margaret's - the end of the Buntingford branch line - where passengers can transfer onto the Hertford East Branch Line.
