For a full brief and application details visit: Collections Relocation Project Assistant Vacancy

We are looking for two Collections Relocation Project Assistants (Ref: TC954) to join the East Anglian Film Archive (EAFA) team working on the new ‘Groundwork for Relocation’ project, delivered with the support of the BFI Screen Heritage Fund, awarding National Lottery funding.

In 2027/28, EAFA will move from its current location at the Archive Centre, County Hall, Norwich to the University of East Anglia Campus, home of other outstanding publicly  accessible collections, such as the Sainsbury Centre and the British Archive for Contemporary Writing. This is an exciting new chapter for the archive, its stakeholders and user communities.

The Collections Relocation Project Assistants will support the relocation of EAFA’s film, video, and associated archival holdings from its current location at the Archive Centre, County Hall, Norwich to the University of East Anglia Campus.

The postholders will assist with collections preparation, logistics, data entry, and videotape digitisation, working under the direction of the Collections Relocation Project Co‑ordinator.

Experience of working with collections in a museum, archive, library or similar environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of film, video or digital media formats, collections management systems, or preservation practices.

The Collections Relocation Project Assistant role will be a full‑time, in‑person role, given the nature of the work, and will operate as part of a team based within the East Anglian Film Archive. The role will initially be located at the Archive Centre at County Hall in Norwich, with the final phase moving to the University of East Anglia’s campus.

The posts are available from 14 December 2026 on a full-time basis for a fixed term period of 22 months.

Applications close: 09 Nov 2026
