Anglia TV: Interview with Linda Mottram following her match at the Robinson’s International Tournament in Norwich in 1975. Linda states her opinion on the subject of equal pay for women in tennis.

Presenter David Henshaw interviews Linda and asks her if it was tough playing in the hot weather. She replies that she just spent the winter in Australia and it is nice for her to be playing in the heat again. She explains that when she’s not playing tournaments, she usually practices around two to three hours a day. She also does running and practices on the wall. However, when she is playing in tournaments then she just plays her matches and leaves it at that so that she doesn’t get over tired. She says that she never gets bored as she is so keen to do well and improve her ranking. Close up of David Henshaw as he asks Linda about the whole new attitude of professionalism which is sweeping through British tennis. He uses her brother and tennis professional Buster Mottram as an example, stating that he doesn’t hide the fact that he is in it for the money as well as the glory. Linda replies that her brother has always been ambitious and wants to do well. They discuss the future of British tennis and equal pay for women. Linda feels that tennis is on the way to equal pay. When asked, Linda says that she would like to make a lot of money out of tennis. Close ups of Linda playing in a tennis match.
