A horse and cart is filmed travelling on the road. A car passes. Back on the farm there are scenes from the milking shed. A man and women show some horses to the camera. Shots of a horse being shoed. Shots of Lavenham, showing old timbered buildings, and the market place. At Bury St. Edmunds, market stalls are set up. People shopping around the market. At the livestock market there are shots of pigs, goats and sheep. Animals are unloaded from lorries. There are shots of spectators around the market. These include women taking children to see the animals as well as farmers. There are shots of animals in pens. At the end of the film there are brief harvest scenes.
