Pekinese dogs

1931 - 1948 , Trentham, Stoke on Trent (Staffordshire)

Pekinese dogs at home.

Film of two Pekinese dogs at home and in the country, detailing their development as they age. Set in the garden and the home of Laurie and Stuart Day, as well as in surrounding countryside, the film makes use of seasonal changes to record the ageing of two Pekinese dogs. The film includes shots of the garden in Trentham; a Pekinese dog; the Pekinese dog with a Pekinese puppy, which plays with the older dog; the dogs playing together in the snow and on a patio, as presumably Laurie Day cleans a rug; the dogs sitting on a window sill; the dogs barking at a window cleaner; the dogs running freely in the countryside; the dogs posed with a basket of puppies.
