Lifeboat Rescue - Margate

The Margate Lifeboat Station practise a rescue mission at sea.

Sailors quickly cut ropes and release a boat from a pier into the water. As it approaches the water some men run alongside and jump onto the boat. They pick up oars as soon as they are on the boat. The boat hits the water and creates a big splash. The men begin to row instantly. They approach a turned over boat and men in the water swim towards the rescue boat. The rescue boat returns to the pier where men await for it to dock. They help the victims out of the boat. Men and sailors carry the victims either in their arms or on their backs. The four victims then head back out to sea on their small boat. Three of them jump out while the other rocks the boat until he falls out, they then turn the boat upside down. They hold onto the capsized boat while they wait to be rescued. A sailor and a gentlemen are looking out to sea from the pier with a telescope. They see the men in distress, the sailor runs off shot while the gentleman fires a shot into the air. A group of sailors and men wearing lifejackets run down the pier towards the rescue boat. The opening shot is repeated as they board the boat.
